MAKILING BOTANICAL GARDEN
Laguna, as evidenced by the numerous nurseries in the area, is known for the abundance of plants, making it a haven for plant lovers. Located in the University of the Philippines in Los Baños, the Makiling Botanical Garden is a symbol of Laguna’s rich vegetation of plants and flowers.

THE ORIGINAL BUKO PIE
Another Laguna trademark is the delicious and favorite buko (young coconut) pie that everyone asks you to take home if you have just visited Laguna. Locals say that nothing can beat the original and yet, there are now so many other brands of buko pies available in practically every corner of Pansol, Calamba, and Los Baños.

MT. MAKILING FOREST RESERVE
Above and beyond all the natural and manmade wonders that make Laguna a tourist destination is the majestic Mt. Makiling and its hot springs. In September 2013, the ten-member ASEAN approved the nomination of the Mt. Makiling Forest Reserve (MMFR) as the 33rd ASEAN Heritage Park. The park, which covers 4,244.37 hectares, is run by the academe as it houses the UP Los Baños campus.
